How we work

Today, Cats Protection’s 7,000 volunteers and staff are busier than ever. Working to meet the increasing demands placed upon us by a growing domestic and feral feline population.

Together we rehome and reunite 55,500 cats and answer over 100,000 calls from the public every year. We do this work through our branches and adoption centres: so what features define these two networks?

Branches

Branches are run by volunteers and cover their local areas. Cats for rehoming are cared for by fosterers, from their own homes. Branches fund-raise to support their work and welcome new volunteers.

Adoption centres

We have 29 adoption centres nationwide, some run by paid staff, some by staff and volunteers and others completely by volunteers. Please see Contact Us for opening times.
